Yaron Samid is an Israeli-American technology entrepreneur, CEO and board director with over $500M in exits. He advises startup founder CEOs and runs TechAviv, the non-profit Israeli startup founders club which he founded in 2007. TechAviv's 3,000 members learn from and help each other by harnessing their collective knowledge and networks across 6 global branches.
Yaron founded 3 technology companies including BillGuard (Acquired by Prosper), which pioneered the use of crowdsourcing to save consumers millions of dollars in wrongful charges and over-spending, becoming one of fastest growing personal finance apps in history. BillGuard's investors included BVP, Vinod Khosla, Peter Theil and Eric Schmidt. Prior to BillGuard, Yaron founded p2p content delivery network Pando Networks (Acquired by Microsoft) and DeskSite, and led product management and marketing teams at Zend, BackWeb and Register.com. Yaron was a founding board director at CloudLock (Acquired by Cisco) and Pond 5, a special advisor to the White House on private sector innovation and is a regular guest lecturer at Stanford and Columbia business schools.
